Parents and Guardians College Planning Conference History
The Annual Parents and Guardians College Planning Conference was established by Dr. Patricia H. Smith (2013). The conference was established to provide parents and guardians with the resources to plan, organize, and navigate through the college planning process. Parents from the community have played a significant role in planning and marketing the conferences.
At each conference, College Scholarships have been awarded to high school students whose parents and guardians have attended the conferences. The scholarships were provided by small & large organizations and individual patrons.
In March 2015, the conference was identified as a 501(c)3 company
